Patrick spent 30 years advising and helping people make good financial decisions. Before joining RBC Wealth Management, he worked as the director of wealth management at RSM in Duluth for five years. Prior to that, he spent 17 years with AIG Corp in St. Petersburg, FL, Austin, TX and Duluth, MN, serving as a senior financial advisor. He also worked for four years with Ameriprise as a registered representative in St. Paul, MN, and spent three years as an accountant with Cenex in St. Paul. Patrick moved from Duluth for school, work and adventure, then came back to be close to relatives and to raise a family.
Patrick passed the Series 7, 63 and 65 exams and hold insurance and NMLS mortgage loan originator licenses to help his clients achieve and maintain their financial independence.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, and has completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional program at the College of Financial Planning in Denver, CO.
Patrick is involved with the local Boy Scouts (since 2002—both sons are Eagle Scouts). He’s also involved with Stella Marris Academy, Knights of Columbus, Sierra Club, Rotary Club, Kiwanis, Duluth area youth hockey, Union Gospel Mission and the Drift Toppers Snowmobile Club.
Patrick met his wife, Sue, at St. Scholastica. They’ve been married for the past 30 years and have three children, two who are in college. He enjoys fishing, hunting and traveling. Patrick especially loves it when he can combine all three. Also, he cooks, snowmobile, rides ATVs, scuba dives and skies. He’s a relatively good mechanic and maintains a large fleet of personal cars, boats, snowmobiles, ATVs and related equipment. He’s also a handyman and has had the pleasure of successfully flipping several houses. Patrick enjoys helping and typically has a calendar filled with family, friends and nonprofit activities.
